In modern days, most of these are mass-produced using a process involving melting raw materials, forming a "gob" of molten glass, and then either pressing or blowing it into a mold to create the desired shape. Thus to be able to have, either antique, or newly hand blown, without mold, is a real treat. At least in mine own opinion.
